Restoration Ministry – O.E.I.L. is a reconciliation and peace building project, run for the healing and transformation of the Congolese nation after wars, operating for souls’ rehabilitation first, from the north-east region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. As branch of the Bilingual Christian University of Congo – ‘U.C.B.C.’ of the Congo Initiative - CI  operating in Beni, Restoration Ministry – O.E.I.L. is promoting Church Renewal and Global Mission move.

Vision:
We see the Democratic Republic of Congo in peace internally and with neighbouring countries and that people are continually being transformed through God’s Kingdom values, whereof the Congolese nation is holistically restored by the renewal of churches and their mission.

Goal:
To conciliate peace in the region and facilitate the steady growth of transformation actions nationwide through ministering Biblical healing of psycho-social wounds; and also promote holistic restoration through the renewal of churches (which are composed of more than 85% the population) in D.R.C., by applying Biblical principles of community development – that we also call Community Transformation – which also empowers people in the communities to express and live out their healing.

Objectives:
   1. Allow more people to experience healing of their psychosocial wounds so to increase the number of those who are able to live genuine forgiveness withing the society in East-DRC for easy cohabitation between tribes.

   2. To run open-air rallies where healed people (ex-combatants & transformation agents), after they have gone through discipleship training, are given opportunity to deliver testimonies and public confession to allow the population get relieved from bitterness caused by lack of justice on committed crimes, so to help them forgive when hearing someone who confesses them.

   3. To promote justice for the poor by educating vulnerable groups at the presence of local authorities in legal matters related to land conflict resolutions, rape and any other kind of abuse and working with the judiciary in using Christian lawyers; but also help the vulnerable to weight consequences of quick reaction in comparison to tolerance founded in Christian forgiveness.

  4. Establish the centre for refreshing and equipping Church leaders, where teaching on Biblical principles of development, leadership development, Christian stewardship, and other topics of discipleship which will certainly change the mind and release their potential for greater creativity to promote the renewal of churches and holistic mission.

  5. Develop the capacity of O.E.I.L. members for humble walk with the Lord so to record successful achievements and allow greater impact of the ministry in depth and expansion for the glory of God.

   6. Increase the impact of the ministry’s message through activities which promote Community Transformation by direct inputs to develop people and by producing backing resources (written literature and Audio-Visual) for distribution in the communities.
